I'll remember a few things about my grandad in particular. His stories about when he was evacuated during the war. His stories about his working life and how proud he was of this. The model soldiers, cars, planes and trains he collected and how he would sometimes let me pick one out to take home. The time he taught us to play blackjack and how amused he was with my risky betting. Overall I'll remember him as being a caring grandad who showed this in his own way, his dry sense of humour, his love for my Nan and the enjoyment he got from being with us all.
