Ron

Ron was a great father-in-law and a very proud and private individual. Ron and Joyce looked after our daughter Georgia when she was a baby and when moving up to join us in Burpham he was willing to help us get settled, I remember a male bonding moment on a hot afternoon where between us we dismantled an old shed together at 75 Glendale. Ron had his own way of accepting help and once allocated a task that was your job for life. I was the TV repair man and haircut  guy. I may be in the minority,  but I will miss the stories of how he knew the Compton brothers, the war and cruise ships etc. When we talked alone, it was clear how much he loved his daughters and worried about all his Grandchildren  while proudly displaying their photographs all around his flat. I will miss Ron and will remember him fondly. RIP.
